It's not that this is a bad remake per se a lot of the tweaks for a more modern look and play style are done superbly well. The changes to the story and more in-depth look at the beginning of FF7 is not necessarily a bad thing. However, This a very large game that i loved and spent several hundreds of hours on multiple play-through's on; or at least the original was.
This game encompasses about 10% of the actual game given that it will be years before we see the next title and it may even be on a different console this is extremely disappointing. All the items levels and choices made are simply for nothing the name of this game is completely incorrect. FF7 A retelling would be more appropriate title. Without the continuation of choices and levels items etc the game feels pointless an quite frankly as a die hard fan of almost every title squeenix has made i feel betrayed and ashamed at myself for buying this game. Somehow square has taken the best game they every made and ruined it for me with this release. i wish i had never bought the game; not cause of the money but because it tainted my love for the real FF7.
