By now this game has reached legendary status. It is just as fun now as it was so many years ago.

By now, there is probably not a single person who has not heard of the Final Fantasy series. It is without doubt one of the most popular and longest running series of games ever. This is a game of which many say is the best Finla Fantasy of them all. I myself, am one of them. This game is incredible. It easily outdoes any game for the PS2 when it comes to replay value. Almost everybody who owns this game will have at least played it through twice. One of the main factors that makes this game stand out from all the other Final Fantasy's is the battle system. In the original Final Fantasy for the Famicom, it was just attack, attack, attack. In most other Final Fantasys you would have certain characters do certain jobs eg. white mage, black mage, warrior etc. But in this game you can use what is called materia to customise your characters. This means that no matter who your favourite character is you can make them just as powerful as your other characters. It also allows for some unbelievable materia combinations towards the end of the game. Thats why i've said that the game is very easy. Even the toughest opponenets can be beaten with one character. Yes, even emerald weapon!Not only does this game have a great pick up and play factor but it also has quite an interesting storyline. Although saying this, the story does have quite alot of holes and if you don't pay careful attention to what is said then you will be unable to fill them. Just about the only bad poiunt this game has is the graphics. Usually square enix(or squaresoft as they were called), really pushed the boat out in the graphics department. However this game does have quite good cutscenes and at times, when you use summon materia such as odin or knights of the round you will be very pleased with the result. With thousands of ways to beat the game(which spans across an unbelievable 3 discs!), this will keep you going for a long time. A must for your gaming collection.
