Not my favourite in the series, but it's still a great game.

Final Fantasy VII is said to be the best Final Fantasy ever, not just by the loyal Final Fantasy fanbase, but by critics as well. It was 10 years ago, and I was still a kid who loved Final Fantasy VI (at that time called Final Fantasy III) to death, and I was very excited when everybody said this game was the most outstanding Final Fantasy ever. First of all, I want to make something clear, what matters in a Final Fantasy RPG is the storyline, nothing else. Sure, graphics are nice, and the battle system is very entertaining, but the game itself is only about the storyline. And I must say I'm not a SUPER DUPER fan of the storyline, it is enjoyable, but nothing more, at least to me, it stays in the shadow of VI and IX. About the other aspects, the graphics are gorgeous for one of the first Playstation 1 games, and the soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks in gaming history. I seriously recommend this game to anyone that loves RPGs and Final Fantasy and for everyone that likes old-school games, it is a must have for sure. Although it is not my favourite of the franchise, it still has the magic that Squaresoft can make on its games, never letting anyone disappointed.
And Nanaki rocks.
