Final fantasy VII is a must own for any RPG fan.
Final fantasy VIII has a memorable story, turn based RPG combat, eight characters to play as (two unlockable ones) tons of abilities and spells, over ten summons and a massive world to progress in to which will satisfy any RPG addict.
First I'll review the audio and music, I can still remember the music even though I played it ages ago, I thought it went very well with the game.
There are no voice overs for characters since the game is a little old.
Don't be put of by the graphics, personally I didn't notice them after a few hours of gameplay, I was immersed in the story etc..
The in battle animations are pretty good and really if your a true fan graphics are nothing to worry about.
If your a final fantasy fan and you dont own this game then it's an essentiel.
The cobat customisation is based on a 'materia' system, you have the chance to buy materia or find it throughout the game, materia bassically attatches to your character and enchances them with more power, different materia do different things.
For example... fire materia gives you fire magic and HP materia will raise your HP.
Your materia gains experience as you do so as your materia grows stronger it gets better and makes you more powerful.
There's 40+ hours of gameplay here and a very memorable story.
It's about Cloud a cold hearted mercanairy who works for a group called 'Avalanche'
I think Final fantasy VII really gets accross as a classic RPG game with a few extra touches such as the materia system and tons of abilities, mini games and side quests which will satisfiy ANY fan.
