This is a old game when you think about it. But way back in 1997 Final Fantasy 7 was a really good game. It was fair, flexible, fun, addictive, and the characters are easy to like. Each time I played through FF7 I'd take the same party members all the time (Cloud, Cid, and Red IIIX) I tried to unlock Zack numerous times and also tried the play as Sephiroth cheat which is probably why I liked it so much. The story line was somewhat boring, of course I didn't dig FF7 plot like everyone else did. The battle system was your basic turn based but it played really fair. Unlike most RPG games where the bosses often steal your turns or use over powering moves to kill you in seconds. FF7 was made for everyone not just one type of gamer. It also introduced a fun way to customize your magic spells known as "material". This game had a total of 60 hours of gameplay...or maybe less I don't really know. Today people still claim that FF7 is the best out of the series despite Final Fantasy XII impressive CGI cutscenes and better graphics.
