This game is the reason why I love RPG's so much. And being the only Final Fantasy game (except Final Fantasy X) that has a lot of spin offs (Final Fantasy : Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, Before Crisis), including a movie (Advent Children, AC Complete) makes it the best Final Fantasy ever. The characters are amazing, it has one of the greatest heroes of all time Cloud, (who makes cameo appearances in games like Kingdom Hearts, Ehrgeiz,Final Fantasy Tactics) and one of the baddest villains of all time, Sephiroth (who also has a few cameo appearances). The battle system is great, side quests are reasonably challenging. And if you look at the time when this game got out, it was very much out of this world then (and a little still). This was the first Final Fantasy game that had full CG clips and that was also in full 3D. I hope a remake gets done even if I have to wait for a Play Station 4, 5, 6, 7 ,8 ... it will be worth it.
