Yes it was worth 9.5 and above ten years ago but now this game really is nothing special.
I mean this is a fantastic game and the story is really good but not the best ever. The character development is really good but again not the best ever and graphics and sound wise it really is lacking and even comparing to final fantasy 8 it is lacking in graphics and sound let alone all the other games released after.
The game is 3 discs long and will take you between 50-70 hours to playthrough which for a game is big story and there are quite a few twists and turns in this story. The characters are also really good but all quite stereoypical and because there are so many you feel like you dont connect to them as much as you do with other RPG's.
It is a great game but it has so many fans who just shout nasty things and people who dont worship it and to be honest this game was the best game ever 10 years ago but if you want this review because your thinking about buying it now then it really might dissapoint you with its poor graphics, lacking storyline and controls.
