Almost 10 years old, and remains the best!
A few weeks ago I started my 5th or 6th time on the game. I must say: almost 10 years old and still going strong! I still think that the game is one of the best games ever made. Game play: 10/10
The story in the game still surprises me, it's just genius. If you never played the game before, you will be amazed by the twists and turns in the story. This is one of the most unpredictable storylines you will ever find without the game getting weird. You can be sure to have hours and hours with fun with this game. The battle system in this game is easy. Equipment system is just as easy. And at the end of the game you will have lots of time playing around with your materia(magic and abilities) trying to find out how you can become as powerful as possible.
Graphics: 9/10
Me myself don't care much about graphics, but to you who do. This is a PlayStation 1 game, so take that into consideration. Even if the graphics isn't as good as you can find in FF8 and FF9, this game does not have bad graphics. The in-game videos in Final Fantasy VII is truly amazing. Lots of action which almost throws you out of your seats in awe. Considering the time the game was released, this graphics aren't bad at all.
Sound: 10/10
Nobuo Uematsu... What a genious!!!!! The music this dude makes is out of this world. I can still remember encountering my first real boss in FFVII, that's when I realised that this game is the coolest game ever. I was utterly impressed with the music in game. Weapons and magic have good and believable sounds to them as well, especially Sephiroth's katana.

Well this game is worth every penny. It's like Square sold their soul to the devil or something in return for this game (but I don't really think they did that, they don't need the devils help). As I mentioned before I've played through this game more than once, which means the Replay value is amazingly high on this game. There is lots of side-quest which you can use your time on, and some have very nice rewards. Buy this game now if you already haven't. It's a great game which will not be forgotten in the near future. This is the game that brought me into the Final Fantasy series, and have not yet played a Final Fantasy game which satisfied me as much as FF VII did, even if some were close.
