I have finally been able to experience the game known as Final Fantasy VII...

And what an experience it was. It's no wonder why fans and critics alike hail it to this very day as being the number one rpg, if not number 1 game ever.

Of course, this game isnt without it's faults and even when you try to be lenient in respect to it's 10+ years of existence, it's hard to look past some of the issues behind it. One of the most notable is the graphics that precede in this game. While some cutscenes look nice enough to this day and prove that they've used the PS system to it's potential, the in-game graphics leave something to be desired, and it's hard to avoid wishing for basic 2D such as the predecessors (though of course we need to look towards the future)

The story also takes a while to pick up, but if you have the patience for it the story will prove to be a very unique one indeed that will leave you coming back for more to experience the next plot senquence. The gameplay is very enjoyable, as is expected from a square-enix rpg. The materia system offers a lot of thinking and tinkering as well as mixing and matching. This of course makes the game quite diffucult in a sense that you have to strategize quite a bit, especially concerning your MP level and how much magic you can make.

The sound track in the game may be repetitious somewhat, but it is still excellent and enjoyable to hear, making you hum along with the beat, or secure your fascination with an event, or keep you thrilled at certain points in the game, showing that spoken dialogue is not needed (at least not yet anyway)

This truly is a great game, but it's a great game like all of the final fantasies provided by Square Enix, and it's strange why this is the only one that seems to stand out the most, since it's just another excellent RPG.
