Final Fantasy may be the one of the most epic and fan based series of all time, each title being received with high expectations which are nearly always reached (*cough* magical quest *cough*). For me, Final Fantasy may be one of the best stories of the whole series and maybe the RPG genre as whole. For starters, each Final Fantasy game has been created with epic-ness and presentation in mind. Final Fantasy VIII dosen't disapoint in that aspect, the graphics are top notch (you will be in total awe when you summon your first GF) and the music is unbelievable (Nobuo did his magic again). The story is a wonderful mix of our usual Final Fantasy drama and some of the most nuanced romance in any video game ever. Now for the most touchy part, the gameplay. Some people hated the junctionning system and the fact there wasn't any armor in the game *gasp*. I think it was a great change of pace, nearly all Final Fantasies from before were not breaking the mole enough... Even so, if you like Final Fantasy and RPG's in general, you owe yourself to buy this game witch now sells for 10$! Get it! GET IT NOW!
