DOOOOOOOPE!!!!!!!!!!

User Rating: 10 | Final Fantasy VIII (Platinum) PS
One of my favorite games off of the first Playstation is Final Fantasy VIII. The game feature great gameplay, some of the best graphics for the system, and a story that I actually cared about.

The game will not be confused with anything like God of War or Final Fantasy XII, and it damn sure doesn't look like anything from the PS3 or XBOX 360. But in a day and age where games must look at lease semi-realistic, Final Fantasy VIII's graphics holds up pretty well. I guess you can call it the prototype of what games look like now.

The gameplay is really something else; I think that it has the second best battle system in the series. Not the best; XII blows it away big time. With the exploration, nothing is new except for the lack of treasure. Many may have a problem with that, but I don't have the patients to look for every single item in a game. The battle system is the closest thing to player involvement in a turn-based RPG. For a powerful attack, just put back on the R1 trigger button. And do the with limits, or get ready for some Tekken Virtua Fighter **** The only downside is that this won't apply for every attack or limit break.

The story follows the format of (mostly) every Final Fantasy; a mushy love story. But, it is one of the better story in the series. The story follows the relationship between Squall, a lone wolf, and Rinoa, the more social chick. Although it may had been stronger should have everyone said "I love you," it's not as immature as Final Fantasy VII or as melodramatic as Final Fantasy X.

It you miss out shame on you. But if you have a Playstation or PS2, you can borrow it from me anytime
