Woot! Game rules. What else?

Ok, this game rules so much that actually anyone should play it, or at least, if you don't like RPGs, watch it because you'll love the plot.

That's right, this game's plot is simply amazing, better then FF7 for sure. It has a lot of twists and is quite long. Although sometimes in the game you may feel it is getting a little boring, you just won't stop playing to know the rest of the story. Storywise, the game isn't perfect, because there are times when you get stuck in a village or a city, going around and around trying to complete it. Basically at these times you only have one chance! Speak with everyone you can, and after you got a bit more to continue, speak to everyone again. It's pretty boring and confusing at these times, but when it's over you easily forget about it!

The characters are all amazing, all with deep personalities and balanced roles during the game.

The battles are the typical turn-based, with the ATB system. The field battles are not hard at all and the game does give you some times to walk about a while between them, so you won't get annoyed easily. The bad thing about battles, though, is that you'll spend most of your time summoning! Well that doesn't sound bad at all at first (and yes, you don't need MP to summon! 8D), but after some time you will miss weapons or magic that do a proper amount of damage; so at this point, the battles are not that balanced.

The menu is very complex, and the Junction system is way too complex I'd say. This Junction system is what let's you personalize your characters' attributes and immunities, let's you equip GFs and the commands available in battle, and a whole lot of things.

The music is perfect. That's it. The graphics are pretty good compared to FF7, but of course, compared to FF8, they are a bit worse, but nothing that makes the PS ashamed of! The FMVs are simply amazing, nothing else to say about them as well.

So there you have it. An excelent game to play if you still haven't. Even if you think you're too used to the better looking games of today, I'm sure you won't care about that when you play FF8!
