In Russia says - "Shedevr" means that the game is PERFECT. FF VIII is "Shedevr".

Best game in series. Best song in FF. One of the best story ever.... Maybe the best JRPG ever.... It's hard to explain why... Just some sort of magic, some sort of unbelievable mixture with fantastic romantic line and very realistic characters... Ya know, this is just great when you feel the characters, when you really love and understand them, when you just want to wathc and listen(err... read) but don't want to play. That's i call the art and Hironobu Sakaguchi one of the game "artists". Yes, we had FF IX, whe had X but... But they lost that unique magic of characters.... They lost some unbreakable chain between all elements of the game - between music, story, graphic, characters... Because only right mix of this elements gives you the Game. Yes - the Game and Final Fantasy VIII one of the Games.
As for me, Best of the Best on PS1 and one of the Best RPG ever.
