even now, square can make the oldies seem good
Graphics: for its time it was good so it gets points there, the battle graphics were better than the field graphics (like ff 7) but the field graphics had greatly improved since the last game, the backrounds had nice detail and cutscenes were breath taking, you must play the game to see the cutscenes, pure perfection. 9/10
music: the battle music, nice but not nice enough, the boss battle music though were absolutely amazing, i didnt really get into the mood while playing though towns cause the music was not really great or anything there but dont get me wrong, the music is still worth playin for. 8/10
gameplay: this is what ff is about, the gameplay, though not as great as 7 or (later) 9 it has it's differences which made it like a different game, the GF's (aeons or summons) were really nicely done (shiva......huh oh yeah right back to the point) everyone has they're own overdrive. in this game though, you draw your magic from ememies (yes your enemies) weird but effective 10/10
storyline: this has to be the one of the best storylines on a rpg in the history of games, your main character squall, is trying to stop edel (the evil one) but ohh there's a twist i can't bear to tell you it's so clever and shocking. i couldent put down the controller cause of the storyline 10/10
Overall: it's a must for any person at all, i mean GS gave it great scores and i gave it great scores, try it for yourself and i assure you, you will give it great scores 10/10
