The Best Final Fantasy!!!
One of the things that seperates this Final Fantasy from it's peers is that it's characters seem as real individuals rather than over the top fantasy personalities. You have the melancholy self loathing Squall, the quick tempered humorous Zell, the upbeat and cheerful Selphie, the cool and collected Irvine, Rinoa who is pioneering and outspoken, and the rational yet sophisticated Quistis. These characters are all highschool teenagers so any teen who plays this game will surely find some connection with the characters personalities and problems.
The gameplay is spot on. It revolves around a "junction" system that lets you fit and customise the characters as you see fit whether it be magic, items, Guardian Forces, etc. The Guardian Forces(which are referred to as GF's) are a very crucial part of customising your characters. Not only do the GF's give aid in battles, they also house alot of other abilities that can be learned by gaining experience while junctioned with a GF. As you gain experience, the GF's do also so you won't benefit from them much not having them equipped. The GF's can either make or break your characters in Final Fantasy VIII.
This title spans 4 discs long, that is also packed with tons of extra's and side-quests that stay true to the Final Fantasy tradition. Any true RPG fan would not wan't to miss this title.
