Gameplay:
For those familiar with the battle system in Final Fantasy X, picking up this game's battle methods won't be a difficult task. While FFX allowed you to take your time with choosing actions, FFX-2 gives you a small amount of time to make a decision. The three playable characters - Yuna, Rikku, and Paine - each have meters which are depleted after a turn. Once the meter fills, that character gets a turn. Certain moves, such as black and white magic, require the meter to recharge again. This adds much more urgency and intensity to the battle system, while still keeping the strategy aspect of it. Of course, when not battling, you will control Yuna much in the same way you controlled Tidus in FFX.

Graphics:
FFX-2 doesn't improve much over its predecessor, but still manages to impress in the cutscene department. Most of the fiends from FFX make a return, while other new ones make a debut, and the game's pace leaves no risk of framerate slow-down.

Sound:
The excellent voice acting makes a return, as well as using the same actors for the returning characters from FFX (Yuna, Rikku, Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri, etc...). The music is still top-notch and live orchestrated. The music in FFX-2 takes more of a modern pop approach, considering the many changes in the world of Spira since FFX.

Value:
Though not as long as FFX, Final Fantasy X-2 still offers the same amount of sidequests. FFX-2 also marks the return of the "New Game+" which allows gamers to replay the game after they have beaten it with all the accessories and sphere grids they had when they completed their first file. Also, replaying the game multiple times may be necessary to complete a 100% for the story mode.

Final Fantasy X-2 is a satisfying sequel from beginning to end, and will definitely satisfy long-time Final Fantasy fans.
