FFX-2 is a triumph, no question. I've been with the series sinc FF7, and I admit i was skeptical when i heard they would final make a sequel to a previous storyline. Of course i was excited, but very nervous at the same time. Fortunately, my worries proved wholly unfounded! The game is fantastic. As per usual, everything Squenix set out to improve came off without a hitch.

Now some of have said the storyline here is too touchy feely, and the all female cast was a cosplay disaster. Well all of you are wrong, and you dissent has cost you another great FF adventure. Although this is the first game in my memory that is devoid of summoned spell favorites like shiva, ifrit and bahamut....strangely after half an hour, you don't much mind. And why, because the storyline is so very versatile and engaging!

The battle system went to -virtually- real time for this installment, though random encounters are still triggered out of the blue. If anything my only gripe, was that since the game map is wholly open from the outset, finding groovy baddies to help you level up is rather difficult. This inequity is offset, however, by another first for the series ((new game plus))! With this engagement when you finish, you can restart the game with all previous money, and skills you've acquired from the first playthru! This is an advent i've been requisitioning for years in RPG's, and it works very well here.

Bottom line: stop your naysaying, embrace the pheramones, and have at it!!
Don't you wanna know if Yuna ever sees Tidus again??
