For it time, Final Fantasy X is not only one of the greatest RPG's, but one of the greatest games overall.

User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy X (Mega Hits!) PS2
Final Fantasy X was one of the greatest RPG's ever created. Anyone can play it, as it has all of the tutorials in the game itself. It will hardly take you any time to master how the game works. However, it is a turn-based RPG, so if you don't like those types, then I'd recommend to stay away from this game, as you cannot change this, unlike in the sequel (Final Fantasy X-2). The graphics are amazing. The characters have been made to perfection, though perhaps the background could use some work. There are, perhaps 2 or 3 times in the game when an important cutscene takes place. Unlike some other cutscenes, you cannot skip these. When the characters are shown in these cut scenes, they look slightly different than usual. This is because they've been redesigned to look almost real. The battle system is much the same from other Final Fantasy's. Sometime the characters will talk, but other than that, there is nothing really different from Final Fantasy VII, though the battle system does look neater. Although sound is where Final Fantasy X goes down a little, the sound is still excellent. The characters actually talk, unlike Final Fantasy VII. The background music has been improved, and the overall music really lets you feel what the game is really like. However, there are a few flaws. When the characters talk, their lips are moving, but it is quite inconsistent. Even after they stop talking, their lips still move for a bit. There are also a few breaks in the music, though this is uncommon. Final Fantasy X will take you a long while to finish even if you decide not to do the sidequests. The game is rather long, but you'll enjoy every second of it. If you do decide to do the sidequests, they could take an extra 5 - 10 hours of game playing time, as the world of Final Fantasy X is filled with secrets. Overall, this game is a must have for RPGers. Even if you don't really like RPG's, you should still enjoy this game a little bit. If you're a fan of the Final Fantasy series, then get this game, as it takes Final Fantasy to new heights
