Final Fantasy X is simply amazing. It is the greatest thing to happen to consoles since well the original playstation and Final Fantasy VII. The graphics are top notch with some anti-aliasing errors but they are barely noticable. The musical score is top-notch as always but much more subtle. The music here can be compared to Xenogears' music. The songs are subtle and fit the mood for every scene whether it be the FMV love scene or Chocobo riding. Of course there is the sphere system which gives a refreshing change from level up, rinse and repeat. The sphere system allows ultimate flexiblility for rpg diehards and intuitive character advancement for beginners with complete freedom for whatever skills you want but are limited with locks so every character won't have all the skills and stats until you have invested a ungody amount of time battling. The battle system is completely turn-based which under normal circumstances would be a pit-fall but not here. Instead it gives you time to think of strategies instead of attack, attack and attack. And lastly we come to the story. The story in FFX is more mature than any of the other Final Fantasies. It is like being part of a masterful fantasy story instead of just reading it. Hardcore RPG fans can milk this game for over 100 hours with blitzball, the monster arena and various sidequests. Normal people can usually finish this awesome game in about 40 hours, give or take a little and enjoy it all the way. I took about 55 hours because I played a bit of blitzball and did some ultimate weapon quests. Also I am more inclined to like this game because it is the first Final Fantasy I have beaten and enjoyed every moment. If you don't have Final Fantasy X and you don't hate RPGs, GO GET IT NOW OR BE DOOMED TO MISS ONE OF THE GREATEST GAMES EVER!
