Great game, good way to spend your time, I know I spend my time like this! You should concider it
Starting from the simplest, this game has a great collection of in game movies and sound clips. Most of the movies inside the game look almost too real, and are so colorful you may find yourself wanting to replay the game just to see them all again. This, being the first Final Fantasy title to claim a spot on the PS2 has the best graphics of the entire series before it, and that is actually saying a great deal for it. For the first time, voices have been put into the game, the main characters talk the whole time that you have a conversation to you, while the less main characters just say a quote like they did in the previous game. Like almost all the games in the series, this one too has awesome music that you can actually sit and enjoy while you relax. The voices and music are added to the movie clips making a truly awesome spectacle. A nice touch the game designers added to the game, the game allows you to access everyone of the movie and music clips (other than the game ending clips) and you can look at all them at any point after you achieve them.
The game has a very interesting way of leveling up your characters. The game has a unique grid system that you have to combine an item and a level up point. You can level your character up infinitely so that you can never really mess up your character to much. You start the game with a grid mostly filled in, but as you reach the end of the game you will notice that the grid is far from perfect, it is actually IMPOSSIBLE to max out you character with the original grid. You will later find a way to clear almost every space (besides skills) on the grid and fill them all back in with better upgrades spaces. This here, along with the weapon customizing system, is how you can spend 100-200+ hours on this game. It’s amazing how much depth there is in this game, even though there doesn't seem to be at the start.
An interesting thing they added to the game, which you didn't likely notice at all if you ever played it, is that there is a hidden character relationships system. The game keeps track of certain actions you perform to other characters and changes what cut scenes you see in the game. There are actually six different ways to complete the game, one for each character, and depending on which ways it goes, you will learn more about each character as you play through each. This adds to the games incredibly deep story. In a play through you will learn about a religious system, a huge background story, and an enormous relationship between the cities and everything in the world. The game plays as if you actually explore a brand new world, and they made such a deep world that they ended up making FFX-2 because there was so much to work on.
As I said before, there is an almost infinite play through time, because you can literally play it forever and always have something incomplete. This does make the game tiring because if you have a big game collection, you will likely have something else to play. But I recommend this game to anyone that loves and RPG game. It’s by far, a perfect game.
