A Fantastic name that lives up to the Final Fantasy name, but it's not as good as the Fan boys would like you to think.
The graphics are fantastic. 5 years after it's release, the game still looks great by PS2 standards. The characters are vibrant and the primarily tropical worlds come to life.
The gameplay is good and bad. I don't like being able to switch characters mid-battle because it leads to imbalance and makes the game too easy. I also don't like the Aeon system for summoning. It makes some of the battle preparation obsolete, which again, makes the game too easy. I do, however, like the sphere system. It makes the game much less linear for a non-job system Final Fantasy
In my opinion, there are better options out there, but it's still worth playing. Truely, the only interesting character in the game is Yuna, and even at that, she seems too much like an Aeris that doesn't die. FFX is a good game, but finds it's self more overrated than Final Fantasy VII.
