The most anticipated RPG hits the PS2...finally.
The sphere grid is intriguing, the fighting system is fun, but the linear paths and non-existent world map kind of ruined most of the fun I had with this FF title. I loved exploring the world maps in past FF's. However, it doesn't really take that much away from the game. I just it had more branches, so to speak.
Graphics:
Holy crap. This game looks amazing. Some of the best character models I have ever seen. The designs for the cities and such are great too. Everything about the graphics is awesome.
Sound:
The game has great music and fairly good voice acting. Nothing to really complaing about here.
Value:
Once you play through it once, you might playing through it again. My first time through, I maxed out most of the sphere grid for each character, each of which were normal attacking for 99,999 damage. Also, the game was way to easy for a FF title. I only played through it a second time to competely do all the side quests, and help myself learn more on the foggy story.
Overall:
Definately worth playing and worth the wait for a good PS2 RPG. However, in terms of FF, there have been better games. But as far as PS2 RPGs are concerned, this one is definately the best.
