If there is an RPG that could even come close to Final Fantasy X, then I'd surprised.

-What is there about this game that makes it so captivating? The lush graphics? The outstanding character personalities and their voice-overs? The addicting nature it has over true RPG fans? Everything. This game, alone, is the start of a new generation in RPG. The new experience system, the Sphere Grid, is a masterpiece on it's own. The plot is outstanding and you'll be on the edge of your seat through the whole game. Non-stop fun and awe is what this game brought to me and I have no doubt in my heart that it will disappoint RPG fans worldwide. If you have a PS2, and you don't have Final Fantasy X, then I assure you, taht you are not using your system to good use.
