Great Game, though if you are a big FFX fan you might not like it.

FFXII has you follow the characters Vaan, Balthier, Fran, Ashe, and Penelo, who are struggling to defeat Archadia, who are invading their homeland of Dalmasca. Basically little Dalmasca is between Arcadia and Rozarria, and Archadia wants to capture all of Ivalice, so their first move is to crush Dalmasca. They do this and a small resistance is formed. The main characters in this game are part of that resistance. The problem is is that there are these nethecite things that are pretty much the equilvalent of the nuke. It is similar to the situation the US has with Iran. If the nethecite held by archadia and the resistance is used then Ivalice will be destroyed, just like the US with Iran.

Anyway this game is just great the graphics are absolutely amazing as usual, the story is immersive (as you can see above. BTW that's just the main plot. If i were to actually write the entire story it would be much,much longer than that)the charactters are all well developed, there's lots of side missions, and all of the good things that are in the Final Fantasy Series.

The main difference though is that the battle system has completely changed, so some hardcore FFVII/FFX players aren't going to like it too much, but I can't say yes or no because it's a matter of personal preference.

Also this is not a good game for your first RPG. It was my first real one (as in not spongebob r smthing), It is a great game, but when you first play you don't realize the whole leveling up thing, and it becomes difficult when you are in a dungeon and you lack the proper weapons or character strength, or whatever.

Just go buy this game. RIGHT NOW.
