I herd some people saying that they don't like the cobat style. I guess that it is not what people were expecting in terms of a closer real-time battle system. If you were able to dodge attacks and have more control in the sence that u should be able to move away from attacks that could have made it better, but i guess that the battle system is an amazing upgrade from previous FF's. The best way that you can get away from getting hit is just to start runnin, which doesn't help since every one is faster than you. I have not finished the game yet but so far the story-line kinda sux. I am hoping that it will get better soon. I just don't feel as connected to the stroy as I did in FFVII. I got the guide book with the game and as i was taking a look i realized that i was almost half done the game, which was dissapointing. If i really am half way through the game, I would hope that the story would be making some sence. Well i don't kno, so far the game is great other than the story line which i think will get better. Graphis are great, sound is too. The learning curve isn't that high, the only thing that you really have to get used to is the checker like equiping and skill learing design. This actuall disapointed me aswell. In previous games I enjoyed the fact that some characters were better at cetain abilities than others. For instance, a character would be better at magics and some may have higher attack strength. It is just not as fun having every character be able to learn the same attacks and equip the same weapons depending on how you equip them. I like the gambits(which alows you to program your computer playing part of your party), but only after you get the good ones that will alow you to do more. I just wish you could give them a movement stratigy. Hmm lets see this is a long review, but i am going to think of some more. I don't think that this one will make an impact even as close to FFVII's(they made a movie about it and an animated short about it for crying out loud, which i did enjoy). It is kinda hard to level up, and to get the points to use weapons and skills. Which is kinda anoying to have to buy the item to use and have the licence to use it, but i kinda like, it is more...relictic in a way. Having to use the skills of what you have to learn the next step. For anyone who is thinking that this game is bad from reading this don't cuz it is still a great game I am just saying what i don't like about it, i could go on about what i like about it but that may take even longer to write. Well i doubt that anyone wants to contiue reading this so i am just going to leave it at that, and say that this is still a great game that just may take a bit of getting used to in order to really enjoy it and that i hope the story line gets better. That is the only thing that really bothers me anyways.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This is the approach that many game franchises take. Sure, they’ll make a few changes here and there, but the core game stays the same. Final Fantasy is at the top of that list. Despite p... Read Full Review
