Haven't enjoyed a final fantasy game since 8, this really reminded me why I loved them so.

Seriously, I am a pretty tough critic of games even minor flaws get to me. This game has everything I could want. I have been playing it all day and still have not been bored once. The graphics, while not being the greatest in the world are exremely good and carried out the games feel very well. The voice acting I think really sets this apart though. I was pleasantly surprised when the game started by how natural all of the voices sounded. The music (even though it isn't my beloved Nobu) is still very nicely done and fits with the game perfectly. All in all the only issue that I can really take with this game are the graphics and even there I am pressing myself to find something wrong. They just are not the best I have ever seen, so I gave it a 9. If you have had your doubts about the Final Fantasy series then please give this a try, it will bring you back. It is a splendid role playing experience, the immersion is top notch and the new fighting system gives it a nice little breath of fresh air. All in all Square-Enix did one hell of a job!
