I was a little concerned with the new battle system, but in the end I think it HAD to change! Square did it again.

I think that every time Square puts out a new game, there is this fear that this will be the time that they drop the ball. Having bought Dragon Quest 8 and recieving a demo that was somewhat unintuitive and not very fun, I was really concerned that this was the game they drop. I am a huge Final Fantasy fan and have been since the first one. I have now bought all the re-releases except for 3 (need to get a DS). I feel this game is the one that should bear the name FFXI but I digress. When it comes down to it, this game is very well thought out. Not only did they keep the good stuff, they put the very Tactics feel into it AND made enough new stuff to make it a wholly immersive game.
