Great game

Well, its very unique , bottom line. Gameplay: Its kind of a mix of turn-based and real time, and you choose a command, then when your bar is filled up, the action takes place. Kind of a mix of Vagrant Story and Magna Carta. And by setting up your gambits ( which are basically adjusting your other party members' actions) and your party members can take care of themselves, like if you but Basch on just healing when an ally has less than 70% with cura, then he will just heal. If you put attacking the nearest enemy first, then curing party members, he will attack first and then heal, which is a baaaaaaad choice. Anyway, dungeons are long, and often bosses are either too easy or too hard, and if you decide to level your characters up, you will go for hours, then wander off, then get a powerful weapon and pwn all enemies, and then you say " oh, I forgot about the boss!" And, my point is that its too fun, but the only problem ( and its huge) is that when you face a hard boss, you want to get a powerful weapon, like the deathbringer, and its in the barheim passage, the entrance is blocked, and you have to do a 2 hour long sidequest to finally get to the place, then you have to search for a mimic, which contains the sword: but the chances of it appearing is like a 5% chance, which ( for me) wasted 4 hours and I ended up resetting too many times, and I never got the weapon, and there are quite a few of these quests, which make you want to smash your PS2 and then throw it off a cliff and watch it suffer. I'm serious. You are SOOO better off not doing these quests. Graphics: Wow. Amazing. Not only are the designs great, but the texture is smooth and the motion is fantastic. Though, occasionally, like every 1-2 hours you see a CGI sequence which look FANTASTIC. Though, this game only has like 30, while FF10 had 62. But, they look much better, they are a treat to watch. I am surprised its not 2 disks.
Sound:
Not only are the sounds of you taking steps on hard floor beautiful, but the rain dripping down, and so many other things. The music in the FMV's are fantastic, and so are the scores played in-game. And the voices are mostly brittish, which is fantastic, but kind of awkward for an FF game. Overall great sound.
Value: ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SOOOOO LONG. And when I held the collector's edition in my hand.......
Tilt: Wow, NEVER is the story slow, it moves pretty adequetly. Never did I find this game boring ( other than those dang treasures!!!!!)
Overall, this has been worth it. Please buy it. Please. And collector's edition. It pwns the normal edition.
