A great game, but not for everyone...
The thing I believed to be more difficult of this FF is the gameplay, the license board and the gambit system.
The gameplay of this game is incredible, it reminds me a lot of a MMORPG, but I play many of those, so Im fine with that fact. The fact that you dont make many options during battle may be disturbing, because we are all used to the random battles, and guess what ?, we dont have any those, we only have an enormous world full of monsters that are waiting for you to fight them, so during battle what really decides how things will unleash is the gambit system.
The gambit system is a way to control de artificial intelligence of your characters, because we have different gambits (or events) that will trigger a special action from our current party, I think this is very heavy for a new player because you are programming at a very basic level but you are doing so, which mean this may be difficult for some people.
And finally the license board, this is a very original way to increase your abilities and also select your new weapons and espers (the augment section reminds me a lot of the sphere grid in FFX). Obtaining license points from battles will allows us to complete our license board. This is also a system that may be not so easy, it is easier than the gambit system but it can be a challenge for some players.
Finally, my personal opinion of this game overall is that is an excellent work out of the square-enix studio, that any FF fan will like and enjoy, but for new gamers in the RPG ground you should better look out for another game, I dont mean that you should avoid FFXII, but if you want to play this game very bad, then be prepared for a challenging experience.
