Finally A Final Fantasy game I liked.

User Rating: 9.4 | Final Fantasy XII PS2
Most Final Fantasy games are too complicated and tedious for me to enjoy playing, and the notion of random battles from some of the earliest Final Fantasy games drove me up the wall, and unlike the Final Fantasy Clones like Metal Saga, eta. Final Fantasy games were not very comical to make up for it. But here is the day i've liked a Final Fantasy game that I would put up the effort to type up my own opinion of it. I'm saying this as I'm not a fan of the Final Fantasy world. I even hate the latest Movie Advent Children, but yet love the older one Spirit Within for good reasons which some people don't agree with me about. Well Final Fantasy XII fan review. What did I like about the game? Well the gambit concept, something i've seen hard core Final Fantasy fans complain about, or praise. I've found this the best new feature. Some say it makes the game too simple, and even boring. But given the option of "not" having to use the new feature, makes their arguments kind of irrelevant. This feature gives players who disliked the countless menus, to scroll through to select spells, or items, or to select what to attack with and how into a simple automatic feature you can pre program before you even engage any monsters, saving players countless minutes per battle, and saving me a heartbreak. Do I use the gambit system a lot? Only for basic needs, I leave the combat who attacks what and how up to my own personal judgement rather than some automatic system. I think that alone shows how you can use it for minor annoyances but yet not use it for things you find most fun on the game, it gives players an amazing amount of customization over traditional RPG games. Story, is a tad different but it's a spoiler if I talk about it so I will shush on this topic.

Over all the game is kind of easy. Definitely if you are very good at combo attacks when using special skills earned by license, another system I like, which allows a player to totally customize every character to their hearts wishes. Again, this is the only Final Fantasy game that i've ever had a joy playing. So saying that, something was done right. The game was no longer work, and was kind of fun, giving players far more control in combat than usual, no more side standing turn taking combat, you can move around making enemies have less chances to attack a character using a slower weapon, giving it more active tactics than any other RPG. In fact it makes it feel almost MMO-RPG like in some ways.
