Good change of pace from the other Final Fantasy games
User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy XII PS2
Square Enix created another amazing Final Fantasy game with XII. It was a nice change of pace from the other games with its unique fighting system. This game has a close second to my favorite Final Fantasy games, right behind X. Although the story followed Squares typical war story, it was thought out and put together very nicely. The fighting system allowed you to give characters a command and they would execute them on their own or you could control one of the characters, which gave players a choice of how they wanted to fight. The quickenings were fun to watch and provided a quick button press to string together multiple party members quickenings for more damage. These (at least for me) will probably be used more often than the Espers (summons). XII's License Board allowed customization among characters so players are able to choose what spells, armor, weapons, and many other things for specific characters. All in all, Final Fantasy XII was different from the others in the series, but it is these differences that made this game as good as it is.
