A fine edition to the series.

User Rating: 9.3 | Final Fantasy XII PS2
This is the first true Final Fantasy sequel since Final Fantasy X. Waiting for this sequel has been hard for fans of the series but I say that the wait was worth it. This is one of if not the greatest Final Fantasy games ever. There is alot to say about this game so let's start at the begining. The first question you probably have about this game is "Whats the battle system all about? Is it any good?" Well this battle system combines elements of the ATB system and the strategic elements of Final Fantasy X. There is definatly a learning curve and once you overcome this the new battle system makes this game much more interesting and fun. Another great edition is no random battles which makes this game better. The graphics can be described in one word "Amazing" For a PS2 game this is definatley a great game to end the PS2's life with. The real time graphics are great and when it goes on to the FMV sequences it goes up another notch. Then it has one more level where it's like you are in the game. The story in this game is definatley aimed for a more macture audience that the other games. The plot has complicated elements of politics and waring nations. It's definatley a step up from "Let's go save the world everybody." This is a game that you definatley is worth your money. There is alot of game to play and you can play for hours and still only scratch the surface. However there are some flaws with this game. The gambit system is a used so that you can operate your other characterswithout manually telling them what to do. Then there is the License Board which is similar to the Sphere grid from Final Fantasy X. This lets you unlock abilities and skill by using points acquired from defeating monsters. Both of these systems are a bit complicated to get into. Other than those few flaws this game is great. All of the bad things are overshadowed by all of the things done right by this game. Go out and pick up this game to experience one this instant classic.
