I've been a FF fan since the first release on NES. they took a chance by changing the battle mode. Not sure i liked it at first, but it grows on you. Things get a little hairy and messy when there are 3 or more party members. Even more tactics and battle scenarios than ever! i LOVE the licensing system as it is a much more advanced character building system than past releases. Tons of new items that foes drop, tons of armor, magic, etc. More "rare" foes to encounter. My only complaint is the lack of "trying to figure things out on your own". Your hand is being held much through the game as things are generally explained for you and pointed on your map so you know exactly where to go. What happened to talking to people, finding clues, and putting the pieces together? All in all one of most enjoyable video games i have ever played.
