Level Grind much?
The graphics, the voicework, the storyline, the new combat system are all really well put together into a top notch effort that one would expect. But the new combat system leaves a feeling like you're in an MMORPG and you can't find someone to help you level fast enough so your stuck killing the same three enemies over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
The music was ok, to me - I've liked other FF soundtracks to the point of tracking them down online, nothing spectacular here but passable.
Now when I first bought the title, I must admit, I didn't take to it. In fact I played it an hour or so and never went back til recently. But now that I've moved the story ahead the same FF addiction has grabbed me again. Though the level grinding makes it a far more managable addiction.
I don't like certain things about magic (sure it regens here but how hard is it to get an ether?), I dislike the summon system and hate the quickening system and much like an MMO it's all about the buffs/debuffs but other than that its good fun, if you don't mind a game that seems to be trying to be an MMO.
