"Just plain fun" is all that this game can really be described as, reminded me of FF X without blitzball.

I, like many people out there have been waiting for this game since 2006, and I cant stress enough of how badly I almost let other players and fans convince me not to buy this game. On the 7th I started reading the critic reviews and the player reviews expecting some really good feedback on this game instead I read the worst things about this game. Most of it was all the same people saying "its too linear", "doesn't progress on the story enough", and "Just flat out the worst piece of crap they've ever played". So instead of listening to everyone I took a chance and got this game on Tuesday and so far have really been enjoying it. Sure it may not be a classic like FF VII, but it definitely doesn't disappoint (me that is). I haven't really got that far in it to tell you about the over all story of the game, but I have got far enough to say that it's all in all a good Final Fantasy game. To sum everything up everyone has a different opinion on "everything" so don't go saying "Oh well that one guy said it's an abomination to the Final Fantasy name, but this other guy said that it is the best Final Fantasy game he's ever played. So I don't know what to do" Instead why don't you see for yourself, but just make sure to ask about returning it; if you don't like it.
