Cutscene, Run, Fight, Boss, Cutscene
Graphics: This game does look amazing, but sometime the graphics and the surrounding areas can look almost...out dated (think thats the best way to put it). The characters look fantastic though and the magic effects also look great. All in all a very pritty game.
Gameplay: This game has tryed to be more action than story drivin this time around what results in this "Cutscene, Run, Fight, Boss, Cutscene... this pase keeps everything moving fast and you'll be rewarded with a new cutscene or boss every ten minuites. This is great at first but soon gets old, Every boss is tricky to beat if your not leveled up enough and being stuck on a boss for three hours is a pain (But this is final fantasy and always has boss's that are a pain lol)
The fighting is a good step forward, with fast flowing fights that reward you for beating the enermy as fast as you can, this is good but sometimes you find yourself pounding the "A" button on "auto fight" just to win most fight.
Story: The storys not the best in the series... You play as a group of people who are hated by "EVERYONE", because of this there are no inns, shops, house or people to go in or talk too. Because of this it will put alot of people off the game but it dose make sense to leave this stuff out because no one likes you.
The cast of charaters are all good but there is no "lead" character which makes it hard to fully immerse yourself into the game, it feels like your playing a team based strategy game rather than an RPG.
Sound: The music is very good in this game with a mix of piano and other classic final fantasy sounds. The sound effects sound great with every sword clash and spell sounding just how you'd wont them too.
Conclution: A very top game with a good story and graphics but dosnt fully feel like an RPG...you oftern feel like running down a very narrow road getting into fight after fight after fight before bumming into the next boss, and with no lead character you never feel like its your changing the world your playing in.
PS: I've wrote alot of negative things about this game, but please note that i still played this game for bout 35 hours so it cont be that bad lol. This game feels like Final fantasy 10 with lest expolation and no protagonist.
