13 was not the lucky number. This game is probably the biggest letdown to all FF fans.
Gameplay : 7
The gameplay is best described as put tape over the the left joystick and ave something tap x over and over. Now this is true for at least half the game. The second half actually requires you to utilize the paragrims system of switching classes mid-battle. You can almost call this game a turn based hack-n-slash its really very simple.
Graphics : 9
The graphics i believe are the only thing holding this game together. The character detail is on spot and the environment are grand to look at. You never really get caught up saying, "Ive already seen this before" as it constantly is changing to have a new look.
Sound : 8
The music at times sounds like elevator music mixed with jazz. Other times its someone humming or lightly singing but its over and over and over. You get tired of the music in this game long before anything else. The voice acting is very well done though. The characters each have a distinct personality and you really can tell the difference between them as they talk.
Story : 6
The story didn't really grasp me as other Final Fantasy games have, but it wasn't bad at all. It does however leave some major holes in with the characters. Little to no facts tell where or what is going on. You find yourself getting hit with important details that make absolutely no sense.
Replay Value : 7.5
I for one took up the challenge of getting all the trophies for this game. This was the most enjoyable part for me. No story just grinding, developing, and 5-stars. Now that im done with all this i probably will never even consider this game again as it took over 100 hours to make this happen. For someone who does not care about all of this they will want to rush to the end to never play this again.
