One of the best beat-em ups ever.

User Rating: 9 | Final Fight 2 SNES
The best beat-em up for me, will always be TMNT IV: Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo, at a close second is Final Fight 3, with Final Fight 2 at a good third place. The Final Fight series is great, of course it is, it's from CAPCOM after all. In this one, you now have the ability to play as 3 characters. Cody is not in it, Haggar returns, and there are two new characters, some chick I can't rememeber the name of right now, and Carlos, my favorite in this game. He's got the swords man, but he's got nothing on Final Fight 3's Guy. Anyway, yes this is a great port. As far as I can remember, all stages, all bosses are present with no edits, as opposed to the GBA version of the first Final Fight. The Virtual Console version of the first Final Fight only supported one player, here you can play through the entire game with a friend, as it should be.

The game is pure beat-em up greatness, with memorable bosses, yes, this is the game with the annoying clown boss BTW. But it's just fun, and awesome, minigames are present, the smash a car, which is also known from Street Fighter, is here. If there is one problem some people may have with it, is that it is so slow, jumping in particular, and no running. I am fine with this, and really, the only problem I have with it, are the enemies, which are the most annoying in the series, the charging fat dudes which give you electrical shock can be bothersome, but the most annoying ones are the dudes with knifes that jump around constantly from nowhere, knocking you down. But these are not the most common enemies, and they are not in all stages.

Final Fight 2 is a classic beat-em up that should not be missed. Now, if only we could have the best game in the series, Final Fight 3 on the Virtual Console, everything would be perfect.
