It's not "The Warriors" thats for sure... Perhaps this SHOULD be the Final Fight.

I'll start of saying the Game does not Deserve it's 3.3 rating. It's not a terrible game. In fact I couldnt stop playing it. The first day I got it I spent about an hour playing... grew bored and quit. The second day... I was hooked I couldnt stop playing. So it'll hook you, till it's VERY short story is over...

Alot of the original Final Fight roots are still "intact" you have all the original characters from the first game... Which is cool. Alot of the same elements exist aswell such as weapons enemies drop will be highlighted and become obtainable. So it's roots are still there.

The Cons:
I gotta say though the character models are god awful I can't stand to look at the main characters face it's really weird looking, I suppose the only excuse he has is being in fights all the time But man... REALLY ugly characters.

The game is REALLY easy till near the end, you wont have any trouble killing baddies till you reach the end of the game. I can say I died once or twice going through the game and about 50,000 near the end. The difficulty rises at an unusual rate but by then your hooked and you can't even tell... you just want to get back into the fight.

When you DO die you have to start the area from the begining so whether you got to the area just before the end or not, you have to do it again. Which can be frustrating. Luckly once you enter a boss battle it starts you off on that boss battle when you die.

Bosses are the most challenging part of the game (which is good) That and the pit fights (I'll save that for later) Till the end of the game though there's no strategy involved in ANY of the boss fights, if you die once chances are you wont die again.

The story is ridiculous and stupid... I wont even explain it, I would just be wasting both our time. Just dont bother playing this game for story It lacks one... Pretend your killing people for another reason Like "they stole your puppy and you want it back" or "your on a quest to find the lucid wilda beast" or something... trust me whatever you come up with is probably more realistic and more entertaining then what they have... O.K. It's not THAT bad... but it's bad. Trust me.

I'll just flat out say it the mini games are stupid. Theres the classic Final Fight bonus stage where you destroy the car (that's there A BILLION TIMES) which I thought was cool, but after that it goes to smashing boxes? The game even tells you it's "popular" in that city area.... I dont know about you but the day I see people timing one another on whoever can smash the boxes fastest is the day I give this game a 10. Having my doubts I'll stay away from cities....

The Pro's:

PIT FIGHTS! COOLEST IDEA EVER period. you square off against a single opponent, where you beat the crap out of him/her. You get points on how well you do and a rank after the match. The rank doesnt seem to do anything I got Ameatuer and recieved the same amount as I did Pro. Though it IS a cool idea, it never went anywhere from what I can tell. There's also the appearance of a certain Street Fighter character you can pit fight.(dont expect much of a challenge though)

It has licenced songs you can listen too... However, if your not a big fan of "rap" or Senses Failed you wont be impressed I was a little let down, not to mention that the repeat the song till your ears bleed. Fortunately they have it set so the song doesnt "seem" like it's being replayed over and over but it's rather a never ending song of DOOM. I eventually turned it off... Yeah starting to question whether this is a pro or not.

Controls are pretty solid you wont have to fumble around with them your character (Kyle) will do what you want him to.

There's moves and upgrades you can buy extended health and sp (forget what the game calls it) and of course new moves... which I never used... except for the counters those can get you out of a real jam.

Bosses CAN be challenging depending on the boss I died hundred's of times on one boss, then the one right after that I slaughtered. Their different in difficulty, so dont expect some fantastic God of War type bosses, you wont see that here.

All in all the game is mediocre, it's okay not too good not to bad. If your a fan of the original Final Fight it's in here aswell as an arcade mode based off of street wise. Neither are very good but it's a neat little idea. If you however like Senses Failed you'll be glad to know that they also supply two music video's for your enjoyment, Who doesnt want to load up a game to see their favorite band music video? That was sarcasm...

If you absolutely NEED a beat-em up pick up "The Warriors" that one has lots to do and plenty to unlock.
