Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright is a great game with tactile combat, and a great campaign.
First off is the combat which is focused on strategic movements, and combining different abilities/characters to give you the advantage. This system allows for challenging moments, and interesting situations, although after awhile it can get tedious. what is a pleasure is being able to upgrade your base throughout the game, and level up your character, and his relationships with others, which in turn boosts your skills on the battlefield. This is one of the best blends of story, and gameplay, that feels organic.
The best part of Fire Emblem is the story, and more importantly, the characters. They evolve throughout the game, and stay with you throughout combat making your relationships with them by the end feel meaningful, and the way the story comes to a conclusion is satisfying. The way the characters pull the story up is what makes this a truly great game.
The visuals are solid for a 3DS title, and the cut scenes, although brief, are gorgeous, and done well. Throughout the game I didn't experience any glitches, or any technical issues.
Overall Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright is a fun game that blends Characters, and combat in a satisfying way, with a story that has a great ending.
