great gamecube game
I was completely blown away by this game. The characters were incredible, especially the Laguz shape-shifters, there were awesome new features such as the "Skills", an intriguing plotline, and a great challenge that only Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword had been able to deliver previously. You haven't played Fire Emblem until you've played Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
Highlights:
The characters talk!: Though speech has been done before in video games such as "Donkey Kong 64", and "Mario Party", it has never been done before by Nintendo at this calibur.
Shape-shifting!: You thought you knew FE killing machines before? You haven't seen anything yet! Not until you've seen the Laguz at work. Really, even if the enemy has a Laguz Lance or a Laguz Bow, chances are, your Laguz will dodge them.
Magic Users can be weapon users!: While I haven't tried it yet, Sages are capable of using knives (but you have to choose between knives and staves), and Valkyries can use swords! This is certainly a nice new addition to Fire Emblem.
Biorythm!: While this thing can drive you nuts at times when it's constantly low (*COUGHSorenCOUGH*), but it adds to the realism of the game. You can't be feeling top-notch all the time, can you?
The base!: After about Chapter 7, you get a base in which you can outfit allies, gain support conversations and information, award experience and skills, and other cool stuff. Fire Emblem was lacking something before, and this was it! No more searching vainly for stores on the board map!
So in conclusion, best Fire Emblem game. EVER.
