The game starts with a boy named Ike practiceing his swordplay skills.
Ike battles his father (no he doesnt kill his dad you psychopath!). During the fight, the game will teach the controls in the form of tutorials. The graphics are quite nice IMO. When you strike a critical hit (triple damage) it just looks flippin sweet. Sure the battles may look a little dull at first, you'll get used to it. If you turn off the Battle Animation option the critical really loses its "WHOA!" factor. If someone in your party dies and you suspend (quit game), and turn the game on, the person's still dead (doesnt that just aggravate you!). I advise you get it. :].
