This game is like Crack!!!

If you are at all a fan of the GBA Fire Emblems, watch out, because your addiction to this game is likely to be even greater. Although the graphics don't bring a tear to anyone's eye, they work just as they are expected to, and don't have any real effect on satisfaction from the game. Let's face it, if you are considering buying this game, it is for the immersive story, and unique gameplay. I will say that the sound and music in this game is very well done, and certaintly fits the story's scenarios quite well.

One of the most significant things about this game is its ability to put you in a time warp where you think you have played the game for an hour, but by the dents in your couch cushions, you know it was more like 3 hours.

As with the Fire Emblem franchise, you primarily follow and command the main protagonist "Ike" and his band of mercenaries and are fighting an evil army who wants to basically control the world. Yes it sounds cliche and vague, but trust me, the character development and progression of the story are superbly executed. You simply don't experience this level of engagement with enough games, and that alone makes this title a gem.

For those of you who enjoyed the Fire Emblem GBA games, this should be a no brainer. For newcomers to the series who are fans of strategy rpgs, look no further. Since this game requires quite a bit of strategy and sacrifice (the units you start with can grow to ubersoldiers, but can and will die forever at some point in the game), it is probably most suitable for hardcore gamers.

Bottom line, this is a must have for any hardcore rpg gamer.
