Gameplay: 10/10. The gameplay in FE: PoR reaches TBS nirvana with just the right blend of fantasy and medieval themed units, a wide variety of both allies and enemies to play with, and literally dozens of weapons (made even more so with a forge where you can customize your own) and magic tomes to keep it interesting, even in the later segments of the game. Also, the plot is fantastic, (despite rather simplistic dialogues at times) and the characters all seem real with enigmatic pasts and compelling backrounds.
Graphics 5/10. Definitely the weakest part of the game. Considering this game is made by the same folks who brought us the beautiful works of art that were the GBA FE games, I'm very disappointed. With some very blocky character models and underwhelming animations, the graphics are the epitome of mediocrity. Luckily, the backrounds are relatively nice, and not all the characters are bad; the laguz in particular are actually pretty nice. Keep in mind, however, that I say this because it's a Gamecube game, and I'm comparing it to the likes of Metroid Prime and such. They're really fine to look at; there's just a lot of room for improvement.
Sound 9/10. Fire Emblem soundtracks at their best; further bolstered by the escape from the tinny speakers of the GBA. The music is fast and furious in boss battles, slow and dramatic at key points, and just plain good at every other part of the game. Fantastic.
Value: 9/10. Despite only having story mode, its well over 20 hours long and , with different difficulty settings and the many secret characters you might find, you'll probably find yourself playing it more than once.
This game is freaking sweet. Play it.
