One of the best tour-based strategy games ever to be released on a console
Path to radiance is the fourth game about the world of Tellius. The first fire emblem for Gamecube, though.
The gameplay is all about tour-based strategy, you can have advanced battle-animation switched on, but this can get a bit boring in a while. The menu is easy to understand due to its advanced options, and with lots of choices and different strategies. The difference between the characters, both when it comes to personality, weapons, strengths and weaknesses is impressive. There is not much more to say about the gameplay. The graphics and sounds are a little better than your average game, although most of the ordinary soundtracks in the game get boring in some time. – But when this game is good, it is really GOOD.
The dialogues may get a bit boring in a long line, but this gives you the opportunity to get to know the characters better. If you want, you can just skip them.
If you like the previous fire emblem games, you will definitely adore this one. I get the feeling that this game is quite short, but that is probably just because you sit and play it about 24/7 when you first start. In other words – it is addicting.
You can set the difficulty to easy, normal and hard.
+ Gameplay, graphics, variation among characters and abilities, addicting, some of the soundtracks and something that is impossible to set your finger on.
- Some boring dialogues and soundtracks.
= One of the best strategy games this year.
