Probably the best Fire Emblem game and one of the greatest RPGs in along time.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance does a lot of things right, and the end result is a very fun game.

Gameplay uses a grid based system like most strategy RPGs. It also plays like previous Fire Emblem games, but with several improvements (notably the skills and command order systems). It has a huge cast of playable characters and Ike, the protagonist, is one of the best Lords in Fire Emblem history.

Graphics are nice from afar, but not so special up close. The game uses cel-shade art when the armies are on the battlefield, but goes to simple 3-D rendering for the battle animations.

Sound is great. The music suits the game well, and during the few awesome cut scenes there's good voice acting.

Value is in the game. It can take anywhere from 30-50 hours to complete. It depends on if you want to go through the trouble to gain new allies and keep the ones you have alive. Since dying in the game is permanent, it's up to you to retry the level if one of your soldiers kicks the bucket.

Overall, Path of Radiance is such a fun game even with its few faults. In fact, it is so good that anyone who has the slightest interest in RPGs should play this game.
