The Best Game I have Played in Years!

User Rating: 9.4 | Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki GC
The Fire Emblem Series has been known for churning out fun and addictive games for years. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is no differnet.

With its deep and emotional story and classic FE gameplay, PoR is a great play for everyone. I wont get to involved in the story but basically, the great military nation of Daein as attack the peaceful nation of Crimea. Daein easily defeats the Crimeans and rapes and pillages town after town. With the fall of Crimea comes the massacre of their royal family. The main character Ike(son of he famous mercenary, Greil) rescues the last of the royal line and with that the main story begins.

The games main theme is racism. In FE their are two races, the humans and the laguz. For a awhile the laguz have been thought of as sub-humans and had been slaves to the humans. It was not until recently that they were emancipated.

While the gameplay may not be different from any other FE game it does however introduce the Laguz. An interesting class that becomes very useful as the game progresses. The only real problem with the game are the unimpressive graphics. But that can be easily overlooked as the game progresses. If you own a gamecube you owe it to yourself to give this game a try. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is arguably the best gamecube game and one of the best games I have played in years.
