Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is in a word: amazing. This is easily one of my top ten favorite games I've ever played. The story is incredible; a massive war between two nations and two enemy races that eventually come together, and a small group of mercenaries trying to win back their homeland. The story never misses a beat and always keeps you intrigued. The gameplay is tremendous with a sort of chess/stratego/risk turn-based battle system that keeps you entertained for the game's approximate 24 hour length. In addition, it is a challenging game that constantly stacks the odds against you. One thing to note is that once a character dies in combat, he or she is gone, dead, finished, deceased, through. There is no revival serum or come-to-life powder to give to your unit. Once they're dead, they're dead. This sometimes comes as a frustration if you choose not to restart the level as many times the fallen units proved to have served you very well in your quest. Without giving many details, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is an amazing experience to play. I did not like RPG games very much but this game is different and one of the greatest games Nintendo has ever made.
