A great turn-based role-playing game with good graphics and an exiting combat system, with an epic cast of heroes.

User Rating: 8.5 | Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones GBA
One of the few good role-playing games for a handheld system, Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones has a huge amount of options for your characters. You gain levels through experience points, as usual, but as soon as a character gets to level 10 in a class, they can use a special item to upgrade themselves to a better class. For example, if a Level 10 Cavalier uses a Knight's crest, that Cavalier may turn into either a Paladin or a Great Knight. The combat system uses a myriad of weapons seperated into two different "Weapon Triangles" similar to rock-paper-scissors. The mundane weapons triangle consists of Lances, which are strong against swords, Axes, which are strong against lances, and swords, which are strong against axes. The magic weapons traingle consists of Light magic, which is strong against Dark magic, Enigma Magic, which is strong against Light magic, and Dark magic, which is strong against Enigma Magic. You can strategically move about the battlefield and collect characters as you travel throughout the contininent, protecting the land from the possessed Emperor Vigarde of the Grado province.

There is a huge expanse of characters you can gain through persuasion or by default through the levels. Overall, it's a fairly good game.
