I bought this game expecting an FF Tactics rip-off, but what I got was a fun and original game that I personaly think has a much better (and easier to understand and figure out) storyline(Yeah, it's kinda cliche, but nowadays it's hard not to be). The gameplay is highly addictive if you like strategy games at all, you start out fighting a evil group called Black Fang that's manipulating the King's into overthrowing Ostia and....well....I'd tell you more, but I'd just ruin the storyline for everyone. Graphics: 7. The graphics are decent, nothing to rave about, but they work for the game, I personaly think they could put more details into the overhead view the the characters, but the sideview(When you attack enemy units) looks pretty good. Sound: 6. Simple sound effects, slash, boom, slash, fwwish ETC. The music is good, but the only real memorable tune is when you recruit a new unit. Gameplay: 9. Addictive, fun, and the fact that when a unit dies it's gone forever definetly keeps you sharp and on the edge of your seat, you actually have to think "Gee, would this move put my unit in mortal danger?" instead of "Oh well, he'll do damage, I can just revive him later." And you have to think of what weapon would work agianst the unit your fighting, you can't just charge blindly and cast/use whatever weapon/spell you feel like using. Replay: 5. Eh, I would replay it a few times, they have an alternate character to play as and have Hard mode, both of which are unlocked after you beat the game, they also have a pretty nifty Multiplayer mode, when you can use your army you built in Single Player agianst your friends ^^, which is always fun. Buy or Rent: Uhm...I don't know anywhere where you can rent GBA games, but if you could I would definetly BUY Fire Emblem, it's a fun game to play, and I keep coming back to it. P.S: In regards to Dusenbutt's review: What the HELL are you talking about that there are only 10 chapters? There's over THIRTY I repeat 30 chapters in Fire Embelm, the first ten are the TUTORIAL! After you get past the Tutorial chapters there's a whole 'nother storyline about Eliwood's journey's, you must really like writing lousy reviews to actually MISS that!
